Avon Beauty Products India (P) Ltd has announced the opening of its first state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in India. The new 9-acre plant, located in Dehradun, strengthens Avon’s position in the rapidly growing beauty and cosmetic market in India.

With the production capacity of 50 million units per year, the facility will operate in full compliance with Avon’s global manufacturing processes and quality standards. The manufacturing facility, equipped multi-product manufacturing capability, produce products in various cosmetic categories such as skin care, color and toiletries including creams, lotions, lipsticks, talcum powder and cleansers.

Announcing the launch of the new manufacturing facility, Hemant Singh, managing director, Avon India, said, “The changing fashion consciousness and increasing purchase power has lead to the Indian beauty and cosmetic industry to witness rapid growth. In order to sustain this growth, the constant supply of quality products is essential.
